Our Town - Lynchburg, Virginia
Ask any real estate agent. They'll tell you location matters. It matters just as much to college students; after all, the campus is your home for the next four years. You'll find Randolph College offers a lot in terms of location.
With some 80,000 people, historic Lynchburg offers the charm of a small town with all the advantages of a big city. You'll find a variety of good restaurants, trendy coffeehouses, malls, movie theatres, and art museums. And don't miss the Macon Bookshop…a great place to unwind with a Starbucks Coffee and your favorite newspaper.
When you want to escape books and classes, there are the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains, which border our campus. You can take a hike on the Appalachian Trail, drive along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, canoe the James River, swim at Smith Mountain Lake, or ski at Wintergreen Resort. Lynchburg was named a "Best Adventure Town" by National Geographic magazine.
