Can I designate my gift to a specific fund? How?

While we hope all donors will make annual unrestricted gifts, you may choose to designate your gift to a specific fund such as student scholarships. To do so, please include this information with your gift.

What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund, which is the cornerstone of giving to the College, provides crucial unrestricted dollars for the College's annual operating budget. These dollars represent approximately ten percent of the operating budget and provide flexibility for the College to meet needs as they arise.

How often will I be contacted by the Randolph College Annual Fund?

Alumni, parents, and friends are usually contacted two to three times throughout the year through our direct mail campaign and via e-mail. In addition, current students may call you seeking support for the Annual Fund during our Phonathons throughout the year.

How do I make a current-year pledge?

There are several different ways to make a current-year pledge. The first option is to click on the Make a Pledge Now link on the Make a Gift page. It will walk you through the steps for making a pledge, or you may call us toll free at 1-877-769-2443.

What is the minimum gift/pledge needed to establish an endowed fund?

There are numerous opportunities available for establishing an endowed fund, and the minimum needed varies by fund. For example, to set up a named unrestricted fund, the minimum needed is $25,000; however, to establish a restricted fund takes an investment of $50,000 or more. For more information regarding the different naming opportunities available, please contact the Development Office at 1-877-769-2443.

What gifts count toward my Reunion giving?

While all gifts to the College are important, gifts to the Annual Fund will count toward your class gift.

Can I donate a horse to the College?

Gifts in kind are gifts of tangible personal property, such as artwork, horses, and real estate, which can be used by Randolph College or sold for funds to help support our continuing efforts to provide a superior liberal arts education.
